Candles, poured by hand
We pour our candles the slow way: soy wax melted in small pots, fragrance weighed to the gram and stirred in at the right heat, cotton wicks set straight by hand, and every batch left to cure for a week or two before it is packed, so the scent has time to settle into the wax.
Our jar candles, diyas and tealights are 100% soy wax. Sculpted, mithai and floating pieces, which have to stand on their own, use a firmer pillar blend of soy and paraffin that holds its shape in an Indian summer. We name the wax on every page, and we tell you the burn time we measured, not a number that only sounds good.
Made to be lit
A candle should be burned, not only kept. Our jar candles throw their scent into a room within the first hour; our sculpted and mithai candles are as happy on a shelf as on a plate with a flame. Every page tells you how to burn that piece well.
Packed for Indian summers
Soy wax softens above about 45°C, and a courier van in May can get hotter than that. From April to June we pack candles with insulation, send them early in the week and avoid weekends in transit. If a candle reaches you melted or misshapen, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace it.
Questions people ask
What wax do you use?
100% soy wax for our jar candles, diyas and tealights, and a firmer pillar blend of soy and paraffin for sculpted, mithai and floating pieces that must stand on their own. The wax is named on each page.
How long will a candle burn?
About an hour for every 6 grams of wax, burned in sittings of up to 4 hours. Each page gives the hours for that candle.
Is soy wax better than paraffin?
Soy is plant-based, burns slowly and holds fragrance well. Any well-made candle burns cleanly when the wick is trimmed, so we keep our claims honest: trim the wick and the flame stays steady and low in soot.
Will my candle melt on the way?
In the hottest months we pack with insulation and ship early in the week. If one still arrives melted or out of shape, send a photo within 48 hours and we replace it.
What if a candle arrives broken?
Send us an unboxing photo or video within 48 hours of delivery and we replace it. White frosting, a little oil on top or cloudy patches on the glass are natural to soy wax, not damage.
Can I order candles in bulk for a wedding or Diwali?
Yes, with your names, a date or your logo on the label. Use the custom order page and tell us the quantity and the date you need them by.
