A small pressed garden on a candle. We press flowers for weeks, then lay them one by one onto an ivory pillar and seal them with a thin brush of warm wax, so they sit on the surface like a painting.

Details
Handmade piece. Because it is made individually, colour and finish can vary slightly from the photos. Made to order: allow 2 days before it ships.
The piece
- Size
- 7.5 cm wide, 10 cm tall. Net wax about 400 g. Made in India
- Made of
- Pillar wax blend of soy and paraffin, cotton wick, real pressed flowers and leaves sealed in wax
- Care
- Burn on a heat-proof plate for up to 3 hours at a time; the flame burns down the middle and leaves the flowered wall as a shell.
Care
- Trim the wick to about 5 mm before every burn.
- First burn: let the melted pool reach the edge, about an hour for every 2.5 cm of width, so it never tunnels.
- Burn for up to 4 hours at a time, on a heat-proof surface, away from fans, curtains, children and pets.
- Never leave a burning candle alone; put it out with a snuffer or a gentle breath, never water.
- Stop when about 1 cm of wax is left in a jar.

Every piece is poured, set and finished by hand in our studio, a few at a time. The small marks of the hand are how you know yours is real.
